  • Individual Therapy

Many individuals of all ages seek the support of counseling at some point in their lives. The assistance of a skilled and caring therapist can have many benefits. While these benefits vary from person to person, just beginning the process of therapy can help ease some of the isolation we all can feel when confronted with difficulties in our lives. Whether you are seeking assistance for anxiety, depression or a history of trauma, need help coping with the stress of everyday life, or wish to become more accepting of yourself and others, our therapists are here to help.

  • Couples Therapy

Couples  seek counseling for many reasons and at many different stages of their relationship, even when they are not experiencing  overt difficulties. Some seek therapy to strengthen their bond, improve communication, unite in processing a challenge, or prepare for the next step in their lives together. Others come in crisis, uncertain of their futures looking for resolution of their problem(s). Even if you, as a couple, are experiencing serious conflicts, counseling can be beneficial to your relationship.

  • Family Therapy

Family life can be tremendously gratifying and enriching. It can also be a source of tension, especially during highly stressful times. This can be normal, yet assistance may be needed at times. Families seek the support of counseling for many reasons. Many come hoping to resolve  conflicts that have developed  and affect the family as a whole. Sometimes these tensions are fueled by change and loss. Other times, long-standing difficulties exist and disturb the  health within the family. These hardships can develop even among families who love each other deeply.

  • Play Therapy

Play Therapy involves using play to communicate with children and to help them solve problems and change their negative behaviors. Children naturally engage in play to create meaning and organize their experiences. This allows children to process and resolve difficult feelings and memories through symbolic expression, using the toys  and creativity as the medium to uncover and communicate.

  • EdMR/Trauma

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a treatment that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result from trauma and/or disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR, people can experience emotional freedom that has lasted for years. Several of our counselors have been trained to use EMDR. Please request this if you have had trauma experiences.

  • Parent Training

Parenting is not easy. Research strongly shows that our relationship with our parents affects every relationship we have for the rest of our lives. Crossover Counseling promotes the importance of healthy parenting. Teaching parents how to develop safe and secure children is a significant part of the training. Understanding and providing for the emotional needs of each child is vital. This approach can make a far-reaching powerful impact in the lives of children and is more than worth the effort.

  • Character Development/anger management

Behavioral and character building therapy that can help individuals deal with social stress and interactions. Not only can this build integrity and promote confidence, it also helps children and even adults develop healthy ways to deal with anger and other emotions. The benefits are far reaching.
